Jung Hong Chuang is a professor of Computer Science Department and Institute of Multimedia Engineering at National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, ROC. He received his BS degree in applied mathematics from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 1978, and MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1987 and 1990, respectively.
He was the Director of Institute of Multimedia Engineering from 2006 to 2008, and has been
an Associate Dean of College of Computer Science since 2011.
Chuang's primary research interests are in the areas of 3D graphics, visual analytics, virtual reality, and geometric modeling. Current research topics include visual analytics, real-time rendering, lighting and material design, mesh processing techniques (depth image processing. model stylization, shape correspondence), fluid synthesis and design.
